My Weekend In Pictures (and words)

Monday thru Thursday

Caught this beautiful view from 3rd Mainland Bridge on the way back from a fitting with The Bestie...

My lovely niece, Lande, made me this beautiful butterfly...

Stumbled across these two ladies as I wandered aimlessly around the Palms while awaiting my Dinner Date on Wednesday...it was sooo random, and we had a fun time just sitting on a bench and gisting!!

We even formed ourselves a Girl Clique which we've named 'Eat, Love & Pray'...Lol

Seun Babade (Eat), Nafi (Love) & Tari (Pray)

Later attended the Industry Nite tribute to the great Gregory Isaacs..it was a beautiful evening as usual!!

Tari & Seun

Noni

Noni is South African..I'm sooooo fond of her, I blessed her with this Igbo name...Nnnoo-neee!!

Tari & Michael Tokunbo Akindele of Fusion Animation Studios

I look like a cow in that picture!!

Friday

It was finally here..time to get out of Lagos and head out to Ibadan for the MTN Industry Nite Special!!

Our train met at the New Afrika Shrine and from there we took off...

Waved good-bye to the Three Lagos Elders as we headed out...

I settled in for the journey nicely...whatever happened to Lagos-Ibadan being a one-hour journey??!!

We soon caught the first glimpse of Ibadan...*yawn*

It was already dark by the time we arrived at our Guest House...which I have to say was lovely!! It was like being in someone's beautiful home complete with Stewards, a garden and nice Art, situated in a very tasteful neighbourhood!!

I think it's called The Address 21...please, please check it out if you're ever looking for somewhere to stay in Ibadan!! The owner is also a warm, lovely lady and a great Hostess.

We settled in...and soon it was time to head over to the Spider Lounge for the Event...oh I was MC-eeing by the way!!

You guys need to pray for me...I actually found myself unconsciously clapping and cheering when the first bottle of Henny arrived our table...

I love the Ibadan crowd!! It was a great event...will have pictures for you shortly...

Saturday

By this time, the Event was over and we were all satisfied with the outcome so we could now truly relax!!

At the break of dawn, a couple of us took a walk around the estate our Guest House was...it was a beautiful experience!! The air was soooo fresh and the homes are lovely!! They had low walls and flower gardens...so unlike Lagos!!

The houses were simple and just nice...I felt like going to knock on a random door and asking them to adopt me!!

We went to bed soon after...I woke up to find these by my bedside...*now blushing*

We all shared a very nice and lazy morning...

Myst

Soon it was time to head back to Las Gidis...but first, we HAD to make a stop at an Amala Spot..you know how we do on Saturday mornings *wink*

The place was so crowded...apparently, its like THE Amala place in Ibadan!!

So Matthew, God bless him, promplty out-sourced our Amala Acquisition contract...and we could just sit and wait to be served!!

Junior & Myst while we wait...

The Amala (pounded yam for some people) soon arrived...

Matthew Ohio

Moi

It's true what they say..."You haven't eaten Amala until you've eaten it in Ibadan!!"

People in the Amala spot actually thought our entire Crew was from South Africa!! LOL

We hit the road once again for the journey back to Lagos...

Check out this beautiful girl on the Billboard...

What is it with me and all these Cows?!

Pype & Toks, his Manager

Closer to Lagos...

LAGOS!!!!

Went straight to chill with The Kingpin..watched 'The Sorcerer's Apprentice' and 'Prince of Persia' back to back in a private theater!!

Sunday

My Timbuktu's missed me soooooo much that I actually woke up to find Gbolahan on my tummy, waiting for me to wake up...

Gbolly

Major chilling day for me!! Please, please if you haven't gotten a copy of Tuface's 'UNSTOPPABLE' album, by all means do!! The guy is just something else!!

Special shout-out to all the people who are now part of the TARIERE shoot taking place this Sunday: Oladipo Oladapo, Adejoke Adepase, Veronica Ebie of VANESTYLE, Zebra Living, Onyx & Pearl, Saze Osayande, Deola Kamson of DELABIQUE, Wunmi Otutuloro and all the many more that are still signing up as Stylists, Make-up Artistes, Designers (suppling the clothes), and just generally Volunteers to help on that day!!

I am soooooo overwhelmed by the support we are getting and it's getting me all excited!! Thanks guys...I love you ALL.
