FRIDAY (20TH AUGUST)


1) EAST MEETS WEST

SATURDAY (21st AUGUST)


1) 'SASHAY AS WE SAY' - FASHION SHOW


A fashion show with a difference, organised by Trendy, Bold & Righteous (TBR) featuring mind-blowing designs from ONYX & PEARL amongst other designers!



Venue: Daystar Christian Center, 71 Kudirat Abiola Way, Oregun, Lagos.
Red Carpet begins at 3pm


2) 'THIS IS HOW WE DO' SOUP KITCHEN

Charity group 'This Is How We Do' goes to the streets. An excellent initiative for feeding the masses.
Just bring cartons of indomie and boiled eggs!

3) MONTHLY SPEAKER SERIES

Learn from seasoned mentors, the intricacies of Business, Entrepreneurship and Life in general.

This month hosts the Founder and Chairman of Telnet Nigeria Limited, Dr. Nadu Denloye. Come interact with Dr. Denloye as she shares her business and life experiences with young professionals.

4) 3RD INTERNATIONAL ART EXPO

Organised jointly since 2008 by the National Gallery of Art (NGA) and the Art Galleries Association of Nigeria (AGAN), the exhibition will, as usual, feature artworks from Nigerian galleries and participants from outside the country. It will run till Thursday, 26th August.

Venue: National Museum, Onikan, Lagos,
Schedule: Daily from August 21 - August 26

5) FARAFINA BOOKS AT MINI-TRADE FAIR


Farafina titles will be available at giveaway prices (50% off) at the Christ the King Catholic Church mini tradefair holding this weekend.

Venue:CKC, 60, Igbehinadun Street, Akowonjo, Agege, Lagos.
Time: 10am (Both Saturday and Sunday)


6) OSUN OSOGBO FESTIVAL


If you happen to be in that neck of the woods, then be sure to attend this festival to celebrate the Osun Heritage.

Activities include lighting of a 500-year-old 16 point lamp, an art exhibition, golf competition, traditional wrestling, a cultural film show and a beauty pageant. It will run till the 27th of August.

Venue: Osogbo, Osun State
Dates: 16th - 27th August


7) FEMME FATALE (ABUJA)

A coalition of female rappers Sasha, Kel, Lami, Eva, Mo'Cheddah, Waje this Saturday!

As it continues its 4th annual "Season of Wole Soyinka", the Theatre@Terra presents the Classic Comedy, "The Lion and the Jewel", directed by Wole Oguntokun.

6) ABUJA WRITER'S FORUM

Weekly reading and critique sessions.

7) GORDONS AND FRIENDS

STAGE PLAY AUDITIONS

Auditions for 'Ajai The Boy Slave' based on the life and times of Samuel Ajai Crowther will take place on Monday.

The play is written and will be directed by Wole Oguntokun.
