How do you measure the quality of a life lived?

I heard someone talk yesterday about a lady she had been acquainted with only briefly before the lady passed away.

She talked about how much of a delight the lady was to be around and how she lit up everywhere she happened to be. She spoke with such enthusiasm about the pleasure it was to have known this lady even though only briefly before her death at the tender age of 43.

For some strange reason, hearing this left me with one resounding question in my head: HOW DO YOU MEASURE THE QUALITY OF A LIFE LIVED?

Your thoughts?
